This agaroses are suitable for routine analysis of nucleic acids. They combine tensile strength with low electroendoosmotic effects to achieve high resolving power for a wide size range of nucleic acid fragments. AG agaroses are also very environmentally friendly, being manufactured by a process which excludes organic solvents. Also available as low melting point agarose for nucleic acid recovery and enzymatic applications (Cat. No. 4.658 455) and as High Resolution PCR grade agarose for separation of small DNA fragments of up to 800 bp (Cat. No. 6.270 615). Other packing sizes on request.

The MultiSUB series of horizontal gel units offers the most versatile solution for DNA and RNA agarose gel electrophoresis currently available. The tanks are injection molded and therefore leak free. They are equipped with high quality platinum electrodes. Each unit comes with a variety of gel tray sizes and colour coded combs providing high flexibility for the user. The casting dams supplied with the units offer a simple and leak free solution for casting the gels.
The MultiSUB Mini is the smallest unit in the range, designed for low to medium numbers of samples. The cost-effective small gel size does not compromise versatility as two tray options are available: 7 x 7 cm and 7 x 10 cm. Easy preparation up to 16 samples. Simply by altering the gel tray or comb, this compact unit is capable of resolving up to 64 different samples, prepping 1ml of sample or separating sample bands over a distance of 9 cm.

Powerful LED lighting arrays for blue (470 nm) and white (broad wavelength) illumination to image fluorescent and colorimetric gels. The ready-to-use DNA markers run precisely and produce a sharp, well defined ladder. They are available in six molecular weight ranges. Recently upgraded with a new 24.1 megapixel digital CMOS camera to guarantee superb resolution, the microDOC is the researcher"s choice for a simple ultra-compact gel documentation system that meets constraints in both budget and space within the laboratory. A large 8" TFT screen enables images, including agarose and fluorescent gels, colorimetric gels, autoradiography film and blotting membrane, to be captured clearly and easily. The system is computer-free and supplied with an 8 GB storage card and 58 mm ethidium bromide filter as standard, while an optional SYBR filter is also available. Files are saved onto the storage card in RAW, TIFF-RGB and JPEG formats and may be transferred to computer for analysis with the highly recommended TotalLab™ 1D software.

microDOC BASIC: The microDOC BASIC is a simple low-cost system comprising a lift-off dark room hood and 24.1 megapixel digital camera, through which the gel is viewed directly. This system can be supplied with optional TotalLab™ 1D Analysis Software and any one of the 21 x 21cm transilluminators (please enquire).

TotalLab™ 1D software: is supplied only as part of a complete package with each of the microDOC and transilluminator options. Its main functions include: lane creation, background subtraction, band detection, profile deconvolution, and molecular size, pI and quantity calibration. More sophisticated standalone software options are available for 1D applications that require band matching, array, colony counting and image ToolBox functionalities.
